Servers, Vergers, Lay Readers, Intercessors, and Lay Eucharistic Ministers (LEM) play an important role in worship at Christ Church Cathedral.

The office of Verger is old, and it was the Verger who protected the Bishop from the crowds (he still carries a mace!). Today the Verger is responsible for operating the sound system during services and other necessary tasks. The Verger processes with the choir and the clergy during Sunday Services.
